How we got here
The Harvest Story
From a single client in Sydney to hundreds of worldwide partners, Harvest has grown with the industry, building tools that support music creators, publishers, and sub-publishers at every step of the journey.
Here's how we got here.
The 2000s: Foundations and Firsts
A bold idea becomes a working platform. From our first local partner to our first international clients, these early years laid the groundwork for Harvest’s global growth.
2007
Our first client: Australian sub-publisher Big Bang & Fuzz. Their Speedway Live search platform gets the ball rolling.
2008
Building on our work with BBF, we launch admin tools, including the core distribution and aggregation engine for original publishers and sub-publishers.
Our first UK client goes live with our white-label Search Gen 1 service.
2009
We sign our first US client, VideoHelper, for custom search, licensing, Salesforce integration, and distribution.
The 2010s: Growth, Scale & Integration
As our client base grows, we expand our reach, launch new tools like AMPLIFY and Search Gen 2, and open the platform through public APIs and global integrations.
2010
We reach the 100 clients milestone.
2011
Begin international recruitment. Simon James joins the team from the UK to lead global sales.
2012
Warner Chappell Production Music joins Harvest for global distribution to sub-publishers and third parties.
2013
We open our public API, making it easy for clients to connect Harvest to their own systems and workflows.
West One Music is the first API client to go live.
2014
We introduce our first export integrations, starting with Tunesat and Soundmouse.
2015
Launch of AMPLIFY, our white-label search platform for composers and single-label businesses.

We sign our 200th client and launch Search Gen 2, redesigned for performance and scalability.
2018
The License Lab launches an award-winning front-end app built on our API using their in-house team and third-party developers.

We sign a global agreement for application and distribution with BMG.
The 2020s: Flexibility, Intelligence & Expansion
